Theresa leads a busy and fit life as Mom to four children, Fitness Coordinator at London Life Insurance Co. as well as personal training and teaching a variety of fitness classes to London Life employees.

At age 43, Theresa was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent treatment. From this experience Theresa created ONERUN, a fundraising initiative in which Theresa herself ran 100 kilometres from London, Ontario to Sarnia, Ontario. Theresa raised $175,000 toward breast cancer research (the most a first time, third party, has raised in funds in Canada for 2009/2010 to date) for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and London’s Pamela Greenway Kohlmeier Translational Breast Cancer Research Unit.

She has been married for 38 years to Bob and their only child, Jennifer, is being married in Mexico May 10th 2012.

Having her own private practice for 27 years, graduated Dr. of Chiropractic, Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Toronto, 1984. Dr.Crnec has been a speaker for numerous groups and events, radio and TV, including her own program on local cable a few years ago called ‘Doctors of the Future’ examining the natural alternatives to healthcare in her community and has organized a number of workshops teaching women’s health.

For the past five years she has written a monthly article for Windsor Body Magazine on topics of fitness and wellness. Dr.Crnec has devoted her life to studying, teaching and providing healthcare in harmony with Nature.

Karen Hill is a Director with GIA Wellness. She has spent over two decades working in the alternative wellness field. The last ten years Karen has focused her efforts in the field of electromagnetic radiation. She travels extensively educating audiences around the world about the emerging health risks associated with exposure to EMR – the radiation associated with exposure to a variety of household sources. During her presentation Karen will not only provide the facts in regards to the health risks, she will also offer solutions to help protect yourself from the damaging effects of living in a wireless world.

Jan Sims
Jan Sims

Jan’s broadcasting career has brought her back to London where she originally graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Master of Arts degree in Journalism. Jan has worked extensively throughout Ontario, as a radio reporter in Sarnia and later as a television producer in Kitchener, a reporter in Sudbury and a television news anchor in Barrie. She has spent most of her career in Toronto where she was a reporter with CTV Toronto and CTV Newsnet.

Since returning to London, Jan has worked with The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame and at Fanshawe College. In addition to producing and hosting Lifetime, Jan teaches Broadcast Journalism part time. She’s also the mother of two young boys.

Barbara Haworth-Attard
Barbara Haworth-Attard

Barbara Haworth-Attard is a native of Elmira, Ontario, presently residing in London, Ontario with her family. June 1995 saw the publication of her first junior novel, Dark of the Moon. Since then she has written sixteen novels in the historical fiction, fantasy and contemporary genres for middle-grade and young adult readers, her latest being “Dear Canada, To Stand On My Own, The Polio Diary of Noreen Robertson.” She has published short stories in various magazines, anthologies, and text-books.

Barbara is the recipient of numerous nominations, including the Governor General’s Award for Children’s Literature, and the winner of many awards, including the Prix Laurente from France, The Snow Willow from Saskatchewan, The British Columbia Stellar Award, and the Arthur Ellis Crime Award for Juvenile Fiction.

Monique Rae Bennett
Monique Rae Bennett

Monique Rae Bennett is a lawyer practicing in London, Ontario since 1992. Monique obtained her Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa (1987), her law degree from the University of Windsor (1990) and was called to the Bar in Ontario by the Law Society of Upper Canada in February 1992. Monique chose to remain in London and pursue a career in family law, civil litigation, personal injury and insurance claims. She practiced with the law firm of Nicholson Smith, from 1992 until 2001 at which time she opened her office on Central Avenue where she currently practices.

Monique’s practice is comprised of mainly family litigation, including custody and access disputes, abuse allegations, physical, mental and emotional abuse, cross-province abduction, many cases of abuse where clients want to maintain their custodial rights regarding their children and litigate in many cases against abusive partners who often are self-represented and are therefore entitled to cross-examine their former partner who is fearful of them. The majority of her cases are from referrals within the legal community. She also focuses her practice on equalization including businesses, pensions and farms and also support.

Monique is married (20 years) to Randy Banks and has two children, a son, Caelan age 14 and a daughter, Mackenzie age 12. Monique was born in Kenora, Ontario and believes that she has developed a passion for advocating on behalf of others from growing up in a small northern community which in itself had many issues concerning access to justice.
